Dear Experts, My requirement is to validate a column values using a validation formula for following format: <<Prefix>>-<<Suffix>> The field should type of "Single line of text" where Prefix should be 3 uppercase letters, i.e., PRC, and middle character should be a hyphen (-) and suffix should be 3 numeric, i.e., 001.
Format validation accepts 10-digits without delimiters, optional parens on area code, and optional spaces or dashes between area code, central office code and station code. Acceptable formats include 2225551212, 222 555 1212, 222-555-1212, (222) 555 1212, (222) 555-1212, etc.

Unfortunately the validation does not apply until the form is submitted. Column Validation functionality also has a limited amount of tools (formulas) for complex validation.

Notice how the table now hides the 'RAM' column no matter what the value for Category is. The reason is because my first record in the data set happens to be a Television category, so SSRS pulls that first value, and evaluates the Show/Hide expression and determines to hide the whole column.

The end user can run with out selecting 1,2 and 3 or the user can run with all the 3 selected.
You can use ">" as your Validation Rule. This will display the data as all UPPER CASE, but of course it would be stored in whatever manner the user enters it. If you want to force the data to be stored in Upper Case, then use something like this in the Validation Rule: StrComp(UCase([Last Name]),[Last Name],0) = 0
