Jun 21, 2015 · Here’s the throttle body relearn procedure. 1) Start the engine and let it idle in park for 3 minutes. During that period the idle may be higher idle than normal. 2) After 3 minutes, turn the engine off and leave it off for 60- seconds. 3) Start the engine again and let it idle in park for 3 minutes one more time.
Removal of position sensor require a crank postion relearn (CKP) using a tech tool or scanner. Green "05 canyon ext cab, 3.5 auto, 2wd, belltech 2/2 drop , fake lake pipes, overhead console, scangauge, ARE tonnue cover, brushed pinstrips, de badged, helwig sway bars, H3 wheels.
I did the relearn process.....I have driven it over 100 miles and the issues are still there. Start up idle is 500 rpm with a slight rev on its own to 600rpm. Once you put it in drive or reverse it jumps to 1500 rpm. No idle issues while driving just in park. Can't do the relearn process again because as soon as I put the a/c on the car shuts off.
Would not doing the relearn cause the check engine to come back on- if not, what else could the hesitation missing be? May 26, 2015 : Followup from the Pelican Staff: Do you have the same fault code after replacing the sensor? The adjustment procedure is setting the sensor height and position.

The relearn may take from 10 – 35 minutes of driving . The vehicle will learn each sensor Id and turn the TPMS light off.
